Yellowthread Street (TV Series) - Bruce Payne (1990) - Bottoms Up, Tsim Sha Tsui

One of Kowloon's former landmarks before closing down and moving over to Wanchai in the mid-00's. Made most famous by being featured on The Man with the Golden Gun in 1974, but it's *ahem* cheeky signboard raised more than a few eyebrows back in the day ;-)

The club was located in the basement of 14 Hankow Road and had been there since 1971 before rising rents forced it over the harbour. It became a homeware store for a while until a year or so ago when the whole block it was in (the Mohan's Building, which also housed a service apartment complex called "Han Residence") was completely demolished. As of a few weeks ago the block was completely empty - totally razed to the ground - but still surrounded by iron falsework, perhaps pending a new build...

Wiki says the bottom covered sign was ordered by a court to be removed in 1994, but I'm pretty sure I saw it on my first trip to HK back in 1995.
